The plot was interesting but, tbh, I was completely lost for a good third of the book. I admit I dove into the 2nd book without reading the first but there was no recap, no blending of the first story wit the second, no prologue or intro or anything, just _boom_ story start with no background to help me figure things out.

I did like the idea of the Arthurian legends being reborn and the knights of the round table being immortal. But even the story that centered around Tom seemed to jump from place to place and went too fast with too little info to round things out. Maybe if I'd started with the first book but.... honestly, I don't know how much that would have helped.

Once I got over my confusion and start following along I liked the story. I admit I skimmed through some of the existential angst and a few other scenes, but that was more because I wasn't in the mood for so much drama than anything to do with the book.

On the whole, a good read. But you really need to read book 1 before diving into this one, otherwise you're gonna be as confused as I was.
