Siren's Call by
Richard Amos My rating:
4 of 5 stars Richard Amos is back with the 2nd installment of his Dylan Rivers Chronicles, Siren's Call, and he's done it again.
In the second installment of the quest to save his home, a home he thought lost to the Oil Barons forever, last of his kind and prince of his kingdom, Dylan Rivers is back at it, slaying gnomes and notching bedposts. But reality is starting to sink in and the quest placed upon him by the water spirits takes a dark and twisted turn.
Dylan will have to rely heavily on new friends and allies, as well as lean on old ones, opening his heart to the potential of love even as he fights his past and tries to save the future. But will it be enough?
I loved the tiny homages to his past series throughout this book, and the way the author seamlessly blended the two series. The writing is slick, sharp, and stabs you in the heart. The urgency is immediate, the action is fast paced. I will never get enough of this author and can't wait to see what happens to Dylan and crew in the next book!
