This is the third book of Morgan Brice that I've read and the second full Witchbane book (there is a novella in between one and two), and I can honestly say the author keeps getting better and better. In this book they deliver on the promise made in Witchbane, with more back story of both Seth and Evan as well as a fleshing out of a great plot. The world building continues and it is one amazing world they are creating.

In a continuation of Witchbane and Burn, the novella, the main characters Seth Tanner and Evan Malone are continuing to hunt for the witch-disciples of Rhyfel Gremory, and this time their hunt takes them to Pittsburgh, PA, right before Christmas. But there are complications to this hunt. Serious complications in the form of a hardcore hunter team consisting of an ex-priest and an ex-FBI agent who have a vested interest in this hunt. And then there's the specter from Evan's past, the abusive ex-boyfriend turned stalker.

The book kept me on the edge of my seat, the love scenes were hot, the new characters introduced very interesting (I have hopes to see a pairing of the ex-priest and the FBI guy coz that's kinda a thing for me) and the action kept me turning the pages.

Even though the book takes place around Christmas, it was a perfectly spooky read for Halloween night!
