Blended Whiskey by
Layla Reyne My rating:
5 of 5 starsSweet, romantic, blisteringly hot. What a way to wrap up Aiden and Jamie's story! Layla Reyne does it again!
This was a perfect St. Patrick's Day finale to tie the story of Irish and Whiskey (although I truly hope we'll catch glances of their lives being continued in Layla's upcoming Craft Brew series. The blending of Southern and Irish, of the coming together of Aiden and Jamie's families to celebrate their love, their wedding, was beautiful. Katie writing their vows - over the top romantic; Mel presiding over the wedding - a lovely tribute to Gabe, who we only knew through memories and flashbacks; it was, in the end, a seamless coming together for two guys who overcame some horrific and painful obstacles to get their happily ever after.
Layla gave each major character their own chapter and their own POV and blended them all seamlessly into a lovely wrap-up of the Barrel Proof series even as she gives us a sneak peak of the upcoming relationship of Nic and Cam in Craft Brew. Have I mentioned I can't wait for Craft Brew 1? No? Well I can't wait!
