Okay first off, Hailey Turner is a brilliantly sadistic woman who makes Satan look like a cute, cuddly, fluffy bunny and I totally adore her for it. In this fourth book of her Metahuman Files series, Ms. Turner amps everything up! From action to romance to hot love scenes, every second of this book is a thrill ride of Hollywood Blockbuster proportions.

In The Blood is the continuing saga of Alpha Team, both in the field and in their personal lives. The storyline that Hailey started in In the Wreckage takes a twisted turn and things start to really heat up as we dive into the fourth installation of what has become one of my favorite 'future world' type books in this genre. I do need to be kind to squeamish readers and say this book has some pretty graphically violent scenes but, while I may have had to peek through my fingers as I read, it wasn’t graphic enough to stop me from enjoying every single word of this page turner.

My advice to those people who have never heard of Hailey Turner is – get to know her right now. She’s an awesome writer and a rising star in the m/m genre.

For those who do know and love Hailey, get ready because you’re in for one hell of a ride! In the Blood comes out on December 18th. That being said, this book is definitely not your lovely, sweet Christmas story, it’s an in-your-face ride down the Autobahn in a high-octane race car going full throttle. Start your engines! Get ready to one-click! And remember to hold on tight!!
